Why ShimmerEVM?

Mexaverso is being built on IOTA's Tangle.

IOTA's Tangle is the chosen technology to built the Mexaverse because besides having left behind the technical problems of the Blockchain, the IOTA developers (Iota Foundation) are also addressing the economic and social problems implicated with cryptocurrencies.

The IOTA testnet is Shimmer Network and it intends to subject projects to said economic and social problems so they can be figured out before launching IOTA 2.0.

IOTA 2.0 mainnet will be launched during 2023 or 2024. Projects in Shimmer Network will have the alternative to be easily migrated to IOTA 2.0.

Furthermore, the IOTA Foundation has values that are basic for any metaverse: "The IOTA Foundation builds open-source software to enable a new type of digital infrastructure that empowers people to live freely and securely in a digital world."
